i wanna apologize for not being super present for a couple weeks now. outside life aside,i've been going through a tough funk inside accompanied by chronic pain flares. i've been trying to girl boss and kick the funk but its just kinda stuck around.doin my best to get out of it๐ซถ
just a heads up- if you thought i was an annoying 'woke' bitch before it is about to get much, much worse.
once again, really urging people to get a library card if you haven't already - and not just that, i'm begging you to USE your library resources. show up. though they're important, we do way more than just books. libraries are spaces that allow community building and care.
i am about to exist and create and love out of absolute spite and rage
lock tf in. get your ass in mutual aid groups. lend your time to meal services. care for people in the way a vote simply never could. advocate for community gardens and libraries. stop betraying community. you donโt get a sticker or gold star. lock in.
They want you to feel powerless and surrender and let them trample everything and you are not going to let them. You are not giving up, and neither am I. The fact that we cannot save everything does not mean we cannot save anything and everything we can save is worth saving.
Iโm afraid to say you must still be good. It is tempting to sink into the mud and let it close over your head, but you must still be good because the world needs your goodness. Take all the time you need and then weโll begin together.
No matter what happens, it saddens me deeply that rape, felonies, trying to overthrow our democracy, misogyny, racism and transphobia are somehow not deal breaks for 10โs of millions of Americans.
