Everytime I try to write (BACB) my email keeps changing the final B and parenthese into a smiley face with sunglasses 😎#BACB #behavioranalysis
Here's an idea from #TheOffice for when social distancing is over: facebook.com/theofficenbc/v…
Should I be concerned that #Freud got is own series on Netflix, but not me? What's next? #flatearth? #astrology?
When I tell people I do #behavioranalysis for a living, they consistently ask if I'm like #SpencerReid in #CriminalMinds... Does this only happen to me?
"If you were in a MSWO, I would pick you first," the most romantic💕thing anyone has ever said to me for #ValentinesDay #behavioranalysis
When you watch Alice in Wonderland as a behavior analyst, you can’t help but wonder what prior learning history led her to eat or drink anything just because it had a label on it. #behavioranalysis
For all behavior analysts out there, #Skynet 🤖 is out for your job! #AI #MachineLearning #behavioranalysis #BACB doi.org/10.1007/s40614…
Below are three of the bestsellers (#3 through #5) in the "Behavioral Psychology" category on #Amazon. Should I be worried???
🦝Never feed raccoons. While the begging behavior might produce some reinforcing private event while you have potato chips in the bag, the extinction burst when you run out could mean rabies. True story!!!
Modern dating apps ❤️: Picture-based sampling procedures conducted prior to a more formal human preference assessment 🤗 #Tinder
Question: What is the difference between DRA and DRO? Response: One letter! Not sure whether I should reinforce or punish this technically correct response 🤔
9 days, that’s how much time it took for my #NewYearResolution behavior to extinguish in 2019. Resolution for 2020: Conduct preference assessment to identify potent reinforcer to maintain 2019 resolution.
The true spirit of Christmas is manipulating contingencies to evoke subjectively “good” behavior in small children by convincing them that they are being constantly monitored by an elderly bearded gentleman with no fashion sense.
Jet lag seems to function as an EO for both aversive and reinforcing stimuli in my life! I'm just about to throw a tantrum at Starbucks because there is no whipped cream in my hot chocolate 😆
Why are the AOs that reduce the value of reinforcers associated with work behavior always in effect on Friday afternoons (or the EOs for the same behavior absent)? I may need to conduct a new MSWO on myself, but my array of items is limited in my office 🤓
Message for Elastigirl: The delivery of a cookie contingent on your child turning into a super hero red rage monster is only creating a cycle involving positive reinforcement of his rage monster behavior and negative reinforcement of your cookie delivering behavior.
I typed Michael 1995 in Google because I was obviously searching for the article “What Every Student of Behavior Analysis Ought to Learn”. Google thought otherwise #MichaelJackson
I need to plan for better contingencies. Work behavior has been competing with playing video games 🎮, and I have been allocating responding almost exclusively to the former. Does anyone else share this problem?
The intervention used to reduce Pinocchio’s lying was unethical. That blue fairy did not exhaust all reinforcement-based strategies before turning to contingent facial disfigurement. Someone should alert the #BACB ASAP!
The only place that I can totally avoid my kids is the shower. The duration of my showering behavior has increased since having kids. Am I the only one whose behavior is maintained by this negative reinforcement contingency?
