So many of us can post photos today of David Baker because he's so approachable & nice. Also doesn't age, though the Nobel mentions nothing about that! What I most remember learning is how hard he worked to include women in his lab, in a once male-dominated field

I know a lot of people who are leaving X and I respect that. I'm not. I have a few reasons but the primary one is: if this election has taught us anything, it's that the solution for dealing with bad ideas is not to retreat into another echo chamber.
Why not cut out the middlewoman and just name Putin as director of national intelligence?

CNN's Scott Jennings says Trump now has a mandate to do everything he promised to do—and that media has done nothing but lie about voters.
Our nation’s democratic system functioned last night and we have a new President-elect. All Americans are bound, whether we like the outcome or not, to accept the results of our elections. We now have a special responsibility, as citizens of the greatest nation on earth, to do…
It’s becoming quite clear not many people have read 1984 🙃
I just heard about #PeanutTheSquirrel 😞 He was 7 years old & a pet for 7 years. How could he be considered a wild animal when all he knew was being a pet?🤷🏼 You can say that about any animal, then in the State of NY. Shame on the @NYSDEC !🙄
My advice, for what it’s worth: try not to be distracted by the faintly discourteous, the mildly incompetent, the harmlessly obnoxious. Roll with the delayed trains, dropped litter and misused apostrophes. Save your powder for the truly malevolent creatures now stalking the land.
This story tells you A LOT of what we need to know about government.

"Everything about this story feels like a tempest in a teapot, a boiling story about legacy media fretting over itself in the mirror. It’s not. We are witnessing the surrender of the American business community to Donald Trump." New from @JVLast: thebulwark.com/p/bezos-kills-…

Yes, worth hearing for the suspenseful story of ditching at sea, but what's remarkable are the voices and details from people who lived this remarkable story. Also fascinating: A dad who predicted the second crash 🤔

A true legend and the nicest man you’d ever meet. RIP Tony.
We are saddened by the passing of our friend Tony Ventrella. As a fixture in our community and sports media landscape for more than 40 years, Tony had a deep passion for the City of Seattle and Seattle sports. His positivity and love for others will be remembered by all. We will…
