Interesting hearing - claim struck out because C needed interpreter. D applied for Sols to show cause why they shouldn’t be liable for costs. Nothing in papers to suggest Sols knew client had language difficulties and app dismissed. Save the Solicitors £10k in adverse costs.

Another application today to set aside a stat demand. Sol claimed outstanding payment as liquidated debt against an individual - can’t be done that way. The demand was set aside with indemnity costs for the client. Thanks @croomdirect
