I'll walk you to the train but I'm going the other way

losing balance and tumbling into the carpet tossing cards and catching them in the air if I slept for days no one would wake me if I left the cards up there they'd tumble to the ground scattered and stewn across the carpet losing balance and disappearing for days

she was intending the loneliest end to a night on the floor an etch at the end of a long list of friends that you'd bury before send me your sentences stuck through the fence, is there anyone out there for you? she must be the loneliest girl in the glow of the rainwater moon

you've been making sweet hums through the partition of our nights sat somewhere in the middle of us drifting in and out and I'm the out and I'm writing throughout your ticks of sleep but if you asked me I'd tell you I like it when you bother me

first time i watched someone die w/o trying to drag them back - sat stroking his face til the light left his eyes - i felt the skin of the world part, and i knew we'd be all right. afterwards i ran home in the dark, mad with bliss. i wanted to sing, but i didn't know how.

in between the static and the scattered breaths is the feeling that your quiet's all the warmer cause you're there and I'm the one who's audience to the air so if I choose to sleep before you wake when you do you'll watch me through the day
