Credit card interest, all interest actually, was deductible until the Tax Reform Act of 1986. How many remember clients bringing in credit card and auto interest because they always deducted it? Or a stack of receipts with sales tax on them?
Anyone else getting client calls on tax issues if they leave the US? Most are clueless, not understanding ex-pat status vs giving up citizenship vs duel citizenship. I see a lot of wasted time on this. Tax headaches for sure.
