We're making the move - are you? @wlguardian.bsky.social

“Because it’s tacky and s**t” would have been my #1 reason.

A thread 🧵 on why we're not watching I'm a celeb 👇

The future King is a hypocrite and it’s about time we talked about it. He bangs on about protecting wildlife yet back in the UK blasts birds out of the sky for fun. Our latest video unpacks the hypocrisy: youtu.be/WyLGlMEvNKQ?si…

“We will carry on doing what we have to do to cull them to keep the numbers down, but it is the hinds that need managing when they come into season.” Quantock Staghounds told @WSFP_newsroom Yet 11 days into hind hunting season they are still chasing trophy stags 📷@mendiphuntsabs

The stag hunters turn on the female deer this month. Known as hinds, their calves are only around 4 or 5 months old at the moment and often get left behind when their mother is forced to run for her life. Calves orphaned at this age suffer developmental delays and may not survive

They don't do themselves any favours do they?!

How the Quantock Staghounds treat other users of the hills! "2 of you didn't say good morning to me" rants Chris Gibbons QSH master and apparent Lord of all the hills on Thursday! Arrogance and entitlement mean nothing here. Stag hunting is illegal and people don't want to see it

The ISG identified the #badgercull as a major encouragement to #wildlifecrime. What message does it send to criminals continuing with the cull @SteveReedMP?

Our new #WildlifeCrime report shows the shocking scale of the issue facing species in 2023 🐋 1,290 reports of marine mammal incidents 🦡 636 reports of badger crime 🦇 184 bat incidents 🦅 153 incidents involving birds of prey 📖 Read more here 👇 mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/n…

I’ve never been in a war zone but I imagine this is what it sounds like. For me it’s just irritating, for veterans with PTSD it’s deeply disturbing, for wildlife & pets it’s absolutely terrifying. The fact people find this entertaining is pathetic and selfish in equal measure.

Protect the Wild and Two Counties Sabs are demanding action, exposing ongoing animal cruelty by Seavington Hunt. Let’s hold those responsible accountable.

In our latest guest blog from @Jameshartlaw22, he discusses the legalities of the Bird of Prey exemption in the #HuntingAct 2004 and the milestone case that threw a spanner in the works of hunts using this loophole (thanks to @BedsBucksSabs): wildlifeguardian.co.uk/blog/falconry-…

Would love to see more of this! Is there anything stopping seized 4x4s being donated to good causes as well?

The team led by PS Smith have donated on long term loan a Pulsar Thermal Scope to Lincolnshire Badger Group The device, seized and forfeited in court from persons committing wildlife crimes in our county will now help the Badger Group monitor and protect our local wildlife 1/2

A stag was sadly killed at the budget meet yesterday of the Devon & Somerset Staghounds at "Coppleham Cross". Some true halloween horrors and a bucket for "trick or treating"...

Another Saturday, another fox kill filmed by sabs; Two Counties Hunt Sabs in Dorset this time. The huntsman carries on as if nothing's happened...just chuck the ripped up body in a hedge. @dorsetpolice need to do a reset and issue CPNs against these hunts. @ProtectTheWild_

Neil Burton, huntsman of the Burton Hunt was found guilty today of illegal hunting. Well done to all involved - @LSaboteurs @LincsRuralCrime!
