Demond Williams Jr. provided a glimpse into his game Friday night ⚡️ 📍 @ifs #PlayerOfTheWeek
I’m in the odd position of believing RFK Jr is a sex criminal blackmailed by Israel but that he’s also largely correct about chronic disease in the US
It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them. While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change. And they’re right.
Dems can reform w/one easy step: abolish racism. I mean that seriously. Every racial caucus, every gender-segregated club, every id politics institution. There are hundreds of Dem mini-orgs defined by crude stereotypes that need to go. Be a party about ideas, not identity.
Look at the popular vote. America didn't get more right wing, it just gave up on the national Democratic party. Trump lost 3 million votes... and Harris (and Biden), lost 15 million votes. That's what happens when you run the "everything's fine the way it is" campaign
As predicted, Democrats are all over TV this morning blaming diffferent demographic groups for the loss. No, it's YOUR fault! Democratic leadership is the establishment, which is despised! People didn't vote based on race or gender, they voted on how much they hated your elitism.
here's someone who's taken as much grief from as many sides as anybody and just won again because she's ideologically consistent and her voters know exactly who she is
Congratulations to our now re-elected, @DetroitDSA champion for the working class, Congresswoman @RashidaTlaib! We are so proud of Rashida’s tireless advocacy on behalf of the residents of MI-12, for standing for working people, and for standing against American imperialism.
My broken record take is that discussions of “the economy” would be better served bifurcating shorter term changes (many of which improved under Biden) w/ steady state problems (inequality, obscene healthcare/childcare/edu costs) that dems refuse to provide existential answers to
Roughly *67%* of voters rated the economy as "not so good/poor," per Washington Post exit polls A shockingly poor number amid a hot labor market, booming stocks, much lower inflation, growing GDP But widespread voter dissatisfaction w/ the economy been clear for years
Strangling the Bernie campaign in its cradle twice just to give us 12 years of Trump. Great job guys.
Don’t Blame Me, I Voted For Hamas
this would be my line if like half of Democratic leadership religiously read my writing, too
I voted for her. I think he’s a bad guy. But if you lose the senate, house, electoral college AND popular vote, and you think the lesson is half the country is racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, and stupid… wrong lesson. And the same thing will likely happen in 2028.
Perhaps the Democrats should have held a serious primary
The Pod has yet to Save America
I’ve never seen anyone who deserved to lose a state so badly on policy alone, and that was before they sent an elderly rapist to smugly lecture Palestinians who had lost family members about King David
Looks like Kamala Harris will not win the south end of Dearborn, an area 90+% Muslim that Biden won with 88% of the vote 4 years ago.
i think they should have kept sending bill clinton to arab communities to tell them their relatives deserve to die
maybe, just maybe, the democrats should try offering voters a vision of the future or any value proposition besides not being the other guy. just a thought
