I spent yesterday with a fantastic group of young people, who were grappling with the challenges of global climate negotiations through a Mock COP activity. Their enthusiam and passion was so inspiring! Thanks @BCouncil_Wales and @WCIA_Wales for inviting me! #COP29

Diolch in fawr to all the schools who joined us @venuewithaheart for our climate debate simulation w/ @WCIA_Wales It's just days to go until #COP29 in Baku, & it was great to see the drive & determination from all the pupils. 🌍🌳 Read more: ow.ly/zIO950U26Ch

Regarding Cyclone Hidaya, it won't directly hit the Kenyan Coast because the physics laws governing cyclone formation do not apply within 480 km from the equator. Hidaya is forecasted to make landfall on the coast of Tanzania between May 3rd and 4th.

Heavy #rainfall over #Kenya has led to #flooding across the region. Rainfall anomalies from CHIRPS show more than double (200%) the average rainfall has been experienced in some parts of the Horn of Africa between 11th October and 10th November. @FEWSNET
