Road Closed! 🛑 West Main St. from Jefferson St. to the intersection at Washington St. will be closed for work on the water main starting Monday, June 12, until early afternoon on Thursday. GOOD NEWS! Sidewalks and Utilities will remain available during this time.

The sidewalk is out! With the turn lanes removed on E. Main and N. Washington streets, crews can begin digging up the roadway to lay new civil amenities like gas, water lines, plumbing, and more. The next steps will be visible, transformative differences for our city. #vwfwd

Our community canvas mural will be unveiled tonight at Main Street Van Wert's Back to School 4th Friday. This wonderful piece of public art commissioned by the VWCF and the @OhioArtsCouncil was completed by Augusto Fine Art Studio and Art Center.

This is "What will come." Downtown Beautification — adding green-space downtown, and encouraging environmental conservation. Maintaining and incorporating green-space downtown will help us to achieve this goal, whether it's through building parks or planting flowers.
