Vom Haus Pixner is known to use predominantly Sables for generations in their program. For good reason of course, not because of their colour but because they already have an established line that is prepotent for working traits. And if it works, there’s no reason to change it.

Apart from the fact that Sable is the most dominant colour in the breed, Homozygous sables are another unique ones who throw sables regardless of the mating partner or the recessives in the mating partner. #follow #gsd #followforfollowback
Two sables carrying the Bi colour genes can also pass on the Bi colour and a pup would be truly Bicolour. Same way they can pass the black&tan gene.
Two sables with black recessive gene can both pass on the black gene in which case a puppy will be truly solid black. Remember, black is recessive factor in the breed and it must be passed by both breeding pair, not one. #follow
