Did political trust matter during the COVID pandemic? I, with small army of colleagues, have a paper at @jepp_journal asking this question and answering it with a meta-analysis of 67 studies. The answer is, broadly, yes. Paper: tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…
Trust seemed to be an important tool for pandemic mitigation - and for creating non-compliance (in the case of the United States. We think this probably means trust is important for other outcomes requiring broad cooperation with low information as well.
To jump straight to it. Trust was significantly related to most COVID-related outcomes of interest: compliance, vaccination, and conspiracy attitudes. But it was not significantly related to perceptions of risk, overall.
