As an anodyne to the recent predatory atempt to take over the knitting industry for luz and dollahs (and perhaps as a brief respite from distressing world events), I present: Genuinely Amazing Knitting Content and Products: A Thread. #knittingTwitter #inclusiveYarnCommunity

I once had to interview Colin Farrell and I showed up wearing a black and white striped shirt. He called me The Hamburglar for the rest of the interview 💀

Props to anyone who tries to be fashionable in ireland i wore a red beret once in waterford and someone called me super mario

Advice from a historian in the Boston area: Start keeping a journal today, ideally a hand written one if that’s within your ability. Write about what you’re seeing in the news, how yr friends are responding, what is closed in yr neighborhood or city or state or country. Save it.

Only DS9 had the range: a list

Sitting in a waiting room. Grabbed a random knitting project bag when leaving home. No notions in the bag. Can’t work on my knitting. 😞

But, really, how many American citizens can really afford health insurance or medical treatment?

Do rich people and politicians not drink the same water and breathe the same air as the rest of us?

😭

Every year as we move away from the events of 9/11, I find the images of the towers falling don’t impact the way they use to. I now try to focus on individual stories from that day to help remind me of the emotions I felt. This year I want to focus on the dogs of 9/11

A good explanation of how tariffs do effect us little people.

I’ve written and published at least one book a year since 2012. I love books. I probably won’t do one next year. I want to tell you why. But it doesn't all fit in a tweet. pantsvillepress.com/2019/09/09/tar…

Propaganda makes extreme points of view seem normal by small amounts of exposure over time - all for the purpose of converting people to more extremist points of view. Use my baseball analogy, if you want. Tell your son that he doesn't have to be anybody's fool.

I detested that book about the dog in the rain and wish the movie would stop showing up in my feeds. It was full of ugly people doing mean, petty things to each other.

Me at 6 PM: My new puppy is adorable and I will love him forever! Me at 6 AM: who’s idea was it to get a dog?

1/ As a debate rages over calling migrant detention centers “concentration camps,” it is worth revisiting reporting and writing about the conditions at these facilities. Follow this thread for more.

I learned about Juneteenth from watching @blackishabc

If you DID NOT learn about Juneteenth in school, RT this, I’m really trying to see something.

I’m watching the documentary “The Truth About Killer Robots”. It is really depressing.
