7. Commit to advocating to the State Gov on issues harming koalas, such as urgently resolving the Koala SEPP, reforming Zombie Development legislation, & mitigation of vehicle strike hotspots on state roads. Ask your local council candidates if they agree & vote accordingly!

IS NSW #LANDCLEARING SET TO INCREASE? There is a big risk that clearing #nativevegetation will go up before new laws. Current laws will delay effective protection until next year. Urgent measures are needed to prevent further environmental damage. l8r.it/Mdlh

Lack of national action at today's Environment Ministers meeting. The Commonwealth is stuck in the slow lane leaving states to take the lead on critical issues like packaging, battery waste & container refund scheme. We need decisive state-level action now tec.org.au

These koalas live in the Sutherland Shire, so their habitat isn't recognised. Developers don't even have to check! This #wildkoaladay please tell the NSW Gov that koalas need homes too. 📷 Mel Clarke sydneybasinkoalanetwork.org.au/koala_strategy…

A system that allows 250ha of a critically endangered forest that is home to a healthy breeding koala population to be bulldozed is a broken one. @PennySharpemlc @paulscullymp & @tanya_plibersek giving the green light to this is a tragedy.
