The @FinancialReview editorial advocating for the social media age ban on the basis that, like the media bargaining code, it is “world leading” is just mind bendingly stupid. Why is it a good thing to be leading the world in legislating bad ideas?
The description by @MarkDiStef of Rumble as “[X number] of freaks paying a few bucks a month to listen to some morons” sounds eerily like the @downroundpod premium business model.
It makes absolutely zero sense for Australia to voluntarily make itself more uncompetitive.
