A BitBucket repo named “devops”. Fuck me, we’re back in 2014!

I had high hopes for @hackajobHQ but they use the same vile, offensive language. Sadness.

Hey @hotelscomhelp I received a credit coupon from you, but the code doesn’t work. I have tried to redeem, but every time I received an error msg saying that you seem to be having a few technical problems and I should try again. I’ve been trying since July. 🥲 Any ideas?

Adding an emoji to my name on LinkedIn was the best way to filter out shit recruiters.

"The role requires a lead within Agile project mythology with both 3rd party vendor management and hands-on coding expertise." AGILE PROJECT MYTHOLOGY 🤡

I just witnessed an @openshift project creation in production via Swagger UI that triggered an @ansible playbook. Enterprise tooling and interfaces never cease to amaze me, although this project would benefit from a couple thousand lines of Perl, for sure.

The epitome of big corporate fuckedupness is that now we have four chat systems in the company, yet teams still don't talk to each other.

bread: Paris > London but, surprisingly croissants: London > Paris

Sustained remote pair programming is death.

"Trunk based development" is a damn good gun to shoot yourself in the foot with.

This might be blasphemous, but after a decade and a half of Java and Python and a couple years of Go, the syntactic cornucopia of Kotlin doesn't spark joy.

“We are not familiar with Kafka, so we are rebuilding the functionality in-house with Tibco, SQL Server and multi-threaded consumers” feels like a good start for a successful project

At this company, it is customary to name teams after animals. I don't think my contributions – Team Cat or Team Dog – are going to be winning.

OH: “Kotlin is a more mature iteration of Java” WAT

I'm baffled to see "What is the difference between Java and JavaScript?" as an interview question 2021

I feel bad turning down desperate-looking junior recruiters.

I haven't used Windows in a long time but "3D Objects"? WTF?

How do I make this silly plant grow leaves on this side? What is wrong? 😭

I have anxiety issues and a pretty low tolerance for shit UX/DX. Besides the occasional outcries and rants, I think I have been managing this in the past. However, Outlook still fucks me up and fries my brain every time I have to use it. And I was told Teams is coming.💀
