And yes, this is the month we have to place all of our bets for the upcoming year. Are any of you seers?
Rounding out the top ten is Thundercats! New film 7/29. Classic '80s Thundercat costumes for kids, new style for kids.
#9 Dorothy of Oz, new animated series. Should drive Wizard of Oz costumes a bit.
#8 Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D, film opening 10/5/12. Expect sequels as these are the producers of the Saw films.
#7 Tin Tin, wich came out in late 2011. We don't think it will move much in our shop, but may buy a little. What do you think?
#6 John Carter of Mars, Disney film franchise. We think the big news here is Rubie's snatching a Disney franchise from competitor Disguise.
#5 The Hobbit, Jackson films, 12/14/12 and 12/13/13, 2 year franchise will start moving a little this year. Mostly for next year, though.
#4 Green Lantern animted series. Cartoon Network, DC Nation. We'll buy a little but not much for our shop.
#3 Hello Kitty. Rubie's had the costume license last year, but won the "dress up" license this year, so we'll have accessories & clothes.
#2 Snow White & the Knightsman, a film with kind of a Joan of Arc esthetic starring Kristin Stewart. 6/1/12
This will be in order of most influential to least in the Halloween industry. Leading the pack is Batman Dark Night Rising, 7/20/12.
