It’s an unconscionable situation. Artists are owed thousands of pounds which is languishing in the Summerhall and Fringe office accounts (accruing some lovely interest I’m sure…) It must be paid out to the artists without any further delay. It’s their money.
I actually cannot contain my stress and fury anymore. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe society @edfringe is holding over half a million pounds of Summerhall artist box office. I have lobbyed for answers and they claim it's on advice from lawyers. So, if Summerhall is wound up...
