Gafford's defensive rebounding has been an area of concern throughout his career. I wondered how much value that would bleed in high stakes situations prior to being traded to Dallas -compared to centers from 2020-2025
A stat not captured well is offensive rebounds allowed. It matters for some big men and it mattered a lot last night for Dallas, which allowed 16 offensive boards and got just 19 defensive boards. By eye, it appeared that Daniel Gafford gave up 4 offensive rebounds last night.
