Our Chairman Mike Wilson and PB growers recently met up with Yorkshire Growers to chat about issues facing the industry.
Just days after the ICJ ruling to halt offensive in Rafah, reports that Israel has attacked civilian tents and UN compounds. Our governments must do something to stop this madness and do it now.
Continuing the south Korean fresh produce theme. Strawberries, in a polystyrene tray, individually cushioned, overwrapped. Yours for just £5.18p. The plastic consumption in Korea is huge (and in Japan). 1. Reduce 2. Reuse 3. Recycle
And to follow the carrot... Some potatoes for sale in the same South Korean supermarket. Select what you want using the tongs with attached gloves! £2.90 per kg. Home produced new as far as I could tell. Basic food seems really expensive here.
An individually plastic wrapped carrot in South Korean supermarket. 2130Won = £1.24. Always enjoy looking at fresh produce while traveling. But this seems mad.
Let's hope sense prevails and new tools for keeping Scotland seed virus free are approved quickly.

Nice to have some agronomic information when walking through Sri Lankan tea estates. Tea with tree types of shade plants.
Tea bushes (left) next to potatoes (right) in Sri Lanka. The variety of cropping in the Sri Lanka highlands is astounding. #potatotravel #srilanka #Travel
It's here! The Potato Sector Economic Report has been published and is available to read: pcnhub.ac.uk/publications/e… An incredible amount of work has gone into this - a huge well done and thank you to the author Prof Steven Thompson from all at PCN Action Scotland! 🥔🪱
