When you are told to dress up as Arwen because your husband has to be Gandalf at work, but you still need to teach lab and work in the lab.

Pro-ADHD tip: when finding it difficult to start working on something you have been putting off for a while, take your stuff and walk away from your work space and find a public space with lots of sunlight to provide novelty to your dopamine deprived brain!

You know it's Diwali when your family sends you a "small" package of sweet and savory foods all the way from India! 😍

#2024SDB was fantastic! Thank you @SocDevBio and everyone involved in organizing the meeting. Being able to share the work from the @lab_ogden and have great discussions after was fantastic. The SDB community is full of amazing and supportive scientists! Everyone should join!

Congrats to ⁦@Eric_T_Hall⁩ of ⁦@lab_ogden⁩ for best postdoc talk at #2024SDB@SocDevBio⁩ Gorgeous data and he is on the job market so invite him and see it for yourself!

How can the big 40 celebration be complete without @lab_ogden posting a wonderful picture of me from back when I was 5!

End of semester present from a student...clearly someone was paying attention to my unique earring collection and the thank you note included a special mention of gastrulation being the most important event of our life. I think my job here is done! 🥺

Thinking aloud: Just b/c you “made it” (at what cost) in a toxic training environment doesn’t mean YOU need to break people to have a robust research program. Happy, well-supported trainees get the job done and this depends on the lab culture you cultivate #mentoring

Obviously these images does not compare in any way to what I witnessed yesterday but I was completely mesmerized by the beauty of the corona! Sharing it with my family made it even more special.

If someone told me back in 2014 when I moved to Memphis, that it would be snowing here, I would have laughed at them.

Check out this super cool article from @lab_ogden! Congratulations to all the authors involved in the study!

If anyone needs a break from the endless doomscrolling, here's a partial solar eclipse viewed through a pinhole camera I made 10 mins ago to get my son to observe his first ever solar eclipse. His response? Can we go play hide and seek in the backyard? 🤦🏽‍♀️
