I am fed up with this false argument that we are all responsible, which I can easily contradict with some basic facts and figures. Why do people use arguments like this, when plainly these arguments are untrue? 1/🧵

Here is a polynomial curve fit for the monthly surface temperature anomaly scatter plot from 1940 to 2023. Each dot shows one month's anomaly. Using this curve to forecast forward 36 months shows us breaking 1.5°C for good in 2025 and 1.6°C in 2026/27. Accelerated warming.

It appears people can be tricked to believe in flat earth concept. How difficult would it be to convince someone to believe that we live inside hollow shell of earth?

The first global temperature data is in for the full month of September. This month was, in my professional opinion as a climate scientist – absolutely gobsmackingly bananas. JRA-55 beat the prior monthly record by over 0.5C, and was around 1.8C warmer than preindutrial levels.
