Alhamdulillah for the blessing of a warm home, access to (hot) water and a roof over my head It's during these times where we become even more grateful for having access to these things. My heart goes out to those who are homeless and displaced. May Allah make it easy for them.

We are appalled and angered by this incident as well as the instances of abuse in our community’s recent history where the perpetrators have faced few consequences and little accountability. We stand in solidarity with victims, survivors, and community members as they speak out,

You who believe, uphold justice and bear witness to God, even if it is against yourselves…} (4:135) We, a network of Muslim women scholars, teachers, and da’iyas, are horrified by recent criminal allegations that have come to light against a prominent Qur’an teacher.

i will say this until the end of time, we need more female scholarship, we need invest, encourage and support sisters in learning this deen so they can teach it. As long as the disparity with female scholarship vs brothers continue to persist so will crimes like this.

The faith of Muslim women is too precious to be placed in the hands of anyone. For those disgusted by Wisam Sharieff’s behaviour & Al Maghrib’s response, we echo this reminder that there are incredible Muslim women scholars you can study with and support

In the mean time if you are a Muslim woman troubled by this and it affects your knowledge seeking, remember you do not need male teachers to access the deen @Rabata_Org @tacollective_ exist. Organise learning with fellow Muslim women, hold each other accountable, you got this 💖

i want sudani and yemeni women to live

wish for every hijabi sister the chance to experience life in the gulf... solely for the women-only spaces. from private beaches to sports facilities, and pampering spas, there’s a sense of freedom in knowing you can enjoy these spaces fully while staying true to your values.

Cannot recommend ustadha @rumaysah_ enough for Muslim women who want to study with a woman scholar ❤️

Never become indifferent to the suffering of the innocent. It’s how evil thrives and tyrants grow. Resist it with every fiber of your being. Use your voice in prayer and protest, and protect your heart from accepting this as normal.
