Floating bus stops prevent blind, visually impaired and disabled people from reaching their lifeline to work & their social lives. Those who can board a bus are then delayed in congestion by LTNs relocating traffic from high car ownership side roads onto main roads & Red Routes.
Yesterday, @NFBUK and I petitioned Downing Street to bring a halt to floating bus stops. Urgent action is needed to prevent excluding blind, visually impaired and disabled people from reaching their lifeline to work and their social lives. 1/2
