The city of Carmel, Indiana - famous for its 150+ roundabouts - found that roundabouts were significantly cheaper to build than signalized intersections, saved the city more than $5,000 per year in electricity costs, and eliminated the need for signal maintenance
The Cincinnati region had a proposal in 2002 called MetroMoves to build a huge transit system through a tax increase that equated to $39 a year per person. If it had passed, it would be nearing completion in the next few years with much of it already operational now.
What's the biggest transportation challenge facing your city?
I can't imagine a world where anyone - let alone a child - would feel safe biking on something like this.
What do you think should be the most important factor when building new road infrastructure in 2024?
