On bank holidays we are open 11-6 ! We’ve tried to let Google know but they think we are robots trying to hack the book system.

We’re open over the coronation weekend in case you were worried about access to books. Nothing can close us. (Apart from that one time it rained from the ceiling).

To whoever threw up on our doorstep last night, we hope your head isn’t hurting too much x

We’ve decided we should take a Luke’s Diner approach to the bookshop and are considering banning phone calls in the shop. We don’t all need to hear how much you’ve invested in bitcoin Dave.

Please do not come in and tell us you usually order books from Amazon. We will cry.

Apparently Twitter is going down which honestly is fine because I’m terrible at managing social media accounts and I don’t really know what to do on here.

It’s Black History Month!! In the shop we have these wonderful newly re-published Black classics that we couldn’t wait to display! And remember: black history isn’t just for the month, be an ally all year round!

anyway, it's never a bad time to show an author you appreciate them whilst they are still with us we are only here together for a little while before we become paper, dust and memories

Feel so #blessed to be in the presence of this new book.

Due to the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, we will be closing our doors for the day on Monday 19th. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday.

Oh to be staring listlessly out at the sea, book clutched in one hand, wind blown shawl in the other. Staring out the shop window at the London rain will have to do for now.

Popped into the indie Book shop @street_upper in Angel Islington and signed some copies of Hey You, Look Up and We’re Going To Find The Monster. Pop in and check out their lovely shop space. 😊

Us mere booksellers trying to set the shop back up after a flood.

We’re doing some work from home currently which consists of looking through lists of classics and I wonder, what’s the WORST classic you’ve ever read? (Gullivers travels for me :()

As some passers by may have noticed, the shop has unfortunately flooded and we will be closed until further notice. What a surreal experience to splash around the bookshop! A special thanks to @WstoneIslington who provided buckets and two weather sturdy booksellers to help!
