This half term has got off to a great start in #STJYear6! We've explored the development of flight, art and film in the early 20th century, hear about protagonists in the Bible with #PromiseAndProphecy, improved our @real_PE_ skills and marked #RemembranceDay24 with our assembly.

Today, our staff and governors gathered for a retreat focused on ‘Encountering God through faith, hope and love.’ We reflected on how these virtues shape our school community, guiding us in every interaction, decision and moment of learning. #faithHopeLove @CatholicCardiff

It's been exciting in #STJYear6 recently! We met our cherubs, voted our Prime Minister & Deputy, announced House Captains and had our Welcome Mass. We also read 'Clockwork', had Titanic Day to launch our domain 'Early 20th Century', PC Alex visited & we played RealPE Tag Netball!

Our Fairtrade bananasuit went on an adventure yesterday with some parents after the St Joseph RC School's Fairtrade coffee morning! I wonder if it's the highest a Fairtrade banana has been this #FairtradeFortnight? Thanks to Jerome and Emily for being so game! #BeTheChange

A Curious & Active week in #STJYear6! We read the beautiful ‘A Story Like The Wind’ by @gill__lewis, enjoyed a charcoal art lesson from illustrator Jo Weaver, learnt about class saint #MaxKolbe and explored the Genesis story of creation! Also Gweddiwn, outdoor Maths & RealPE too!

What an ambitious start in #STJYear6, lots going on in the first week. We’ve launched our ‘This is me’ domain, begun our RE topic ‘Creation and Covenant’ exploring God’s gift of creation. Class roles sorted. We even had time to create AI art to reflect our identities! #4Purposes

One last class photo of #STJYear6 2024, taken on Thursday. Unedited versions on Seesaw for the class, along with the funny faces photos! Have a wonderful time tonight at your Leavers' Party!
