I was recently reminded that I sometimes wade into the gray area between professional and unprofessional, so I have removed all connections to my career and employer in my bio. Welcome to the same and unimproved @steinmeyer216

Growth comes in many forms: I realize I’m in a bad mood, so I should limit my interactions with people.

I would swear I felt it at 3:30, but my judgement of time could have been off overnight.

Did you feel an earthquake this morning? @WthrmnSlaughter says 2.6 shook around midnight near Old Monroe, Missouri

I am so ignorant and uneducated that I thought “under God” was always a part of the Pledge of Allegiance. Happy to learn something new today. Disappointed I didn’t already know this

1952: National Day of Prayer 1953: National Prayer Breakfast 1954: “In God we Trust” put on postage stamps 1954: “under God” added to the pledge 1955: Prayer room built in Capitol 1956: “In God We Trust” adopted as national motto 1957: “In God We Trust” appears on paper currency

This feels like the first day this summer I have done absolutely nothing, and I love it. Thanks, rain, for making this day easier.

So excited to learn all my students passed their AP test!!

Whoever told me to “take the trains” while in Europe, we are going to have words when I get home.

As a ‘96 @Mizzou grad, I cannot stress enough how much I hate this. The battle between $ and a much loved, unique stadium design went the expected direction. Disappointed.

If you are a teacher in the first half of your career, you may want to start looking for work in another field. Less money to public schools means lower salaries in a state that already ranks at, or near, the bottom.

I understand @Replit, like every company, has a goal of making money. As a public school teacher, I would love a free version that brings back teams and removes AI. The code being generated is beyond their understanding, and the temptation to use it is too great.

After killing his political rival, it occurs to me that Putin can rehabilitate his image by starting a golf league to rival @PGATOUR like the Saudi gov’t did with @livgolf_league after murdering Jamal Khashoggi.

So happy for both, but especially my Math colleague. Her dedication to every student is aspirational.

I wanted to recognize these 2 amazing women. Both are so selfless & do so much for our staff & our students. South is lucky to have you! ❤️ 🤍🖤 Jodi Wynn (Math Teacher)-Educator of the Year Tiffany Sullivan (Principal Secretary)-Employee of the Year @KGrawer74021 @ZumSouth

It’s difficult to balance “Good is the Enemy of Great” and “Something is Better Than Nothing”.

Taylor Swift’s boyfriend’s brother retired last night. I hope she’s okay.

A thought while running… Curt: 1. Cut short, abridged 2. A shortened form of the name Curtis

“Poisoning the blood of our country” Am I supposed to feel better that Trump is not quoting Hitler? Isn’t it worse that he came up with this statement on his own?

I have definitely said this to @ZumSouth / @FZSchools coaches and teachers. In response to refusing to give up free time, an administrator asked, “Is this the hill you want to die on?” This is the hill I can afford to die on, as it cost me my coaching contract.

This is true “Education only works off of free labor from teachers. If teachers would stop working for free, it would collapse.” fortune.com/2023/12/17/tea…

It’s impossible to be a long time @Mizzou fan and not be nervous about the Bowl Selection show.
