BOVAER - what on earth it that, and are we using it? You might have heard about Bovaer—a feed additive designed to reduce methane emissions from cows. It's also slightly more interesting than that too - as it's going to be made just 20 miles from our own farm in Dalry, Ayrshire…
He’s right. After 10-12 years, cow methane is broken down into CO2, and enters a carbon cycle that is captured and absorbed by plants via photosynthesis, converted into cellulose and eaten by livestock and the cycle starts again. The very essence of environmental sustainability.
You can rest assured that we will not be using the feed additive Bovaer, which is now being trialled by Arla dairy farms. Our milk and meat production is based on traditional, organic pasture and non-intensive farming methods. Nature knows what it's doing 🌱

To our customers in Newcastle & Northumberland. You may have seen a major dairy company is trialing a product called Bovaer (Produced by a Bill Gates company) to solve the non existant problem of cow burps. We can assure you our cows will never be fed unproven crap like this.
