We were delighted to welcome guests from the Devon and Somerset Law Society to the @somcrickmuseum on Friday night for a drinks reception ahead of their dinner in the Long Room. Also visiting us was the High Sheriff of Somerset, Robert Beckley QPM, guest speaker for the evening

It was great to see so many Walkers and Talkers in the @somcrickmuseum on Tuesday when we looked at some memorabilia from Western Storm to add to our Women’s Cricket displays and the stories behind a cricket bat dating from the late 1890s and autographed by Andrew Stoddart.

Previously Buses of Somerset (BoS) have announced an official partnership with Somerset County Cricket Club. The Trustees of the @somcrickmuseum are delighted to say the this association has been extended to the Museum and are very grateful for the donation that has been made.

#NSHD2024 #YourSportingStory This 1892 photo from the Som v Yorks match found its way back to @somcrickmuseum this month The photo has the museum identification mark 26 from the late 1980s but the photograph was never catalogued, but items 25 and 27 were. Odd. @sportinghistory

We were pleased to receive a donation of this delightful miniature bat measuring 3inches high from Ms Jane Hodgkin, autographed by the Somerset CCC players from 1964. All our recent additions can be seen on both our website and the Ehive Museum Collections Management service.
