Only one week until the Equinox at Angkor Wat. Will the weather play game and provide a spectacular sunrise, or will clouds spoil the party? There’s only one way to know and that’s to go there, 21-23 September. #angkorequinox

One of my favorite so far

In Luang Prabang you can follow the crowds to watch, or partake, in the morning alms giving ceremony. At times this can be a ‘circus’. Or head to a backstreet to see locals making donations with no tourists at all.

Congratulations to Angkor Silk Farm which reopens today. Located, 20 minutes outside of Siem Reap town, during a visit, the silk production process can be seen in its entirety, from growing mulberry bushes to the artistry of dyeing and weaving silk to create the end product.

During the road journey from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap stop at Santuk Silk Farm. We’ve been supporting Navin and her team for many years and besides learning about silk production you can also enjoy some delicious food.

Pre Rup temple is once again open for sunset viewing. Ascend the lion-guarded staircases for an excellent view over the forest canopy as the sun dips below the horizon.

Welcome AirAsia Cambodia with the announcement of its first routes in Cambodia, with two daily flights from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap, and also Siem Reap to Sihanoukville. It’s very good news to have more competition on both routes. Flights start 2 May. #AirAsia #AirAsiaCambodia

Siem Reap is a little busier than normal due to the River Festival from 15-17 March. Some roads will be closed along the river but access to hotels in that area is still possible from side roads. As it's quite hot enjoy the festivities and drink lots of fluids to stay hydrated!

What's really impressive is this was Sneferu 2nd attempt at building a pyramid! 1st was Pyramid at Meidum, then the Bent Pyramid and then finally Red Pyramid that had geometrically true sides. It's pretty impressive feats of engineering for his reign!
