Yesterday at Guthrie Drama Seminar, @robertsoftley shared his insights as Artistic Director of @BOPTheatre on creative embed of access and disability justice in Bop's work. What an inspiring and witty session. Thank you! (totally forgot to take a good photo)

I've been pondering about more specific and expansive framework for accessibility for mental disability. Relaxed Performance is more about neurodivergent but maybe we could adapt and improve on this? britishcouncil.ca/sites/default/…

Saw the film of C P Talyor's Good directed by Dominic Cooke. The writing, acting and direction were expectedly remarkable. I didn't expect the videography would be so perfect, too. good.ntlive.com/synopsis/

I love this book for freelancer illustrators. Recommend all UK based early career freelancers to read! creativescotland.com/resources-publ…

We are having some prime sunsets this week here in Edinburgh.

At a charity shop, I saw a straw hamper printed polyester box called deluxe laundry hamper. So Baudrillard.

#edfringe2024 Mosinee Project by @_CounterFact reimagined the (slightly anti-climatic) real story from 1950s and made it interesting, provoking and experimental. I appreciated the big and little intentional choices they made for the play! Sadly tickets are all sold out

smoking while queuing might be economic and efficient for the smoker but it can be harsh and inescapable for fellow queuers. 😶‍🌫️

YOAH by Cirquework cirquework.jp/yoah had refreshing aesthetic. With many ghost lights, moonlit blue glow, y2k chic video art and Japanese electro rock music! The contortion and silk were my favourites (as usual). The lights are a bit harsh. Bring sunglasses 😎

Flock & Moving Cloud at @ZOOvenues, two pieces of female choreographers performed by @SDTDance Pumping celtic tune by the Weegie band @TRIPceol Flock explored dancers’ balance & collaboration while looking one-sided! Moving Cloud was just electrical! Could watch for hours! 🤩❤️

Irish dancer Mufutau Yusuf’s Impasse at @DanceBase The white wall is still but untouchable. The black dancers work to flourish continuously and facelessly, sometimes against each other but mostly together. The movements guide you to empathy. They reclaim the wall and rhythm.

Lobster Bisque by Brilliant At Breakfast at @Cvenues #edfringe2024 Two passionate and talented actors with their 6 characters. Various performance put together nicely. Hilarious and visually striking 🤭❤️

Saw Ari: Spirit of Korea the other day at Assembly Mound Hall. High quality production, big cast, great talents, some exciting percussion performances, very Korean, good time fun. I think there was minor cultural barrier for Anglophone audiences in later chapters.

Why is Edinburgh sky celebrating pansexual pride? #edfringe2024

Breathe by @HalfaString production was a solar punk chic music puppet show with smart set design and beautiful tunes. @Darcey_ORourke’s voice made my day 🥹

Many recommendations led me to see Bill's 44th (also sold out today!) It was a joyous time filled with awes and aaawwws. The puppetry came in variety! Arm, rod, object and maybe more? I'd love to see it making a world tour. Warning; Bill's a big drinker. bills44th.com

“Witnessed” @louiseorwin’s FAMEHUNGRY. She uses various mediums on the stage; it was to-the-point, narratively complete and flawlessly operated. Performers will relate deeply but it talks to anyone living in capitalism. Leave some time after the show to take care of your emotions

Pondering on exoticism. It is what attracts(instead of repelling) people to differences. Differences in a yummy bite size. How do we not lose our center, authenticity or subjectivity? How do get us to be seen as a whole while strategically flattening and exoticizing ourselves?
