McDonnell already talking about the Labour whip being restored to Corbyn (if he wins). This would be a massively retrograde step, undoing all the progress of the fledgling independent left campaign against Labour. Hopefully Corbyn wins and rejects this regressive notion.

That Corbyn in 2017 secured a higher proportion of the vote than Starmer's "landslide" has been removed from BBC app and instead, much needed context about how Starmer has increased vote from 2019 has been provided instead..

Lmao come the fuck on now haha

Also, it was suggested to me recently that, as Starmer was Corbyn's right hand man maybe Starmer is playing the long game and that socialism is still on the cards... any views genuinely appreciated #GeneralElection2024 @corbyn_project @jeremycorbyn @UKLabour

Labour will be in a position to ignore this even more than when Starmer initially suspended him. Corbyn and the rest of the left have more of a voice outside of Labour now - no point fighting this battle

🚨 NEW: John McDonnell says he will argue for Labour to restore the whip to Jeremy Corbyn if elected

We got Corbyn at EXACTLY the wrong moment. Brexit wasn't just the perfect issue to split libs, but the *only* issue where Tories could pretend to be more responsive to working classes than UK's longest serving socialist. Should've been Cooper 2015-2020! Corbyn/McDonnell now win.

Starmer predicted a vote share of 36%. Corbyn had 40% in 2017.

John McDonnell saying he’s going to fight to have the Labour whip restored to Jeremy Corbyn. I hope Jeremy tells them where to stick it if it’s offered back.

btw i am fucking absolutely livid at every single one of you who had the opportunity to vote for corbyn back in 2017, you FAILED us all, i was 14 and had no say in my own future and you have all ruined it for me and so many others. now we’ve got rats in the walls and NO peace

There’s a real possibly that Starmer will not gain the same number of votes that Jeremy Corbyn did in 2019. The #BBC is airbrushing Corbyn’s vote count in 2017 and 2019. Disgraceful, biased coverage on a night that needed professional neutrality. #GeneralElection2024

These Labour MPs gaslighting us. Turnout has sunk. Labour winning on less votes in their victories, losing safe seats, getting less vote share than Corbyn. Our electoral system is a joke.

GRB Reposted

We could've had Jeremy Corbyn as PM in 2017. Less than 3k votes away. This fucking hurts

GRB Reposted

Labour already peddling a narrative that this victory is down to a changed Labour party. The reality of course is Keir Starmer was holding the pass the parcel at the right time, when the Tories eventually imploded. So they’ve won by default, on a lower share of the vote than 2017

GRB Reposted

#BBCElection @BBCNews Why have you just airbrushed Jeremy Corbyn’s 2017 vote share from that graph just shown by Reeta Chakrabarti? Disgraceful, biased coverage. You clearly don’t want to show that Starmer is likely to get less votes than Corbyn did in 2017.

GRB Reposted

If you’re choosing today to campaign to unseat Jeremy Corbyn, rather than an endless list of Tory MPs, then you are driven entirely by spite.

👀 Tom Watson joins the campaign to oust Jeremy Corbyn in Islington North. As leader, Corbyn launched an abortive plan to abolish Watson's role as deputy leader Here is Watson supporting Labour's candidate Praful Nargund a few minutes ago...

So. #DoctorWho Was pretty fucking good I've really missed the emotion that here with this one Really feels like it's been missing since 2017. What a nice episode

Centrists are insane. The man's holding an umbrella from a comrade FFS. The fact this is seen as a "fall from grace" says more about those pissing and moaning about than it does about Corbyn.

Starmer was getting chauffeured to work 10 minutes round the corner for years Sunak doesn't know how to use a bank card Corbyn holds an umbrella for his friend, while he speaks Small things but I know which one is most normal & reflects a decent person.

I just love how unapologetically 'for the fans' the last episode of #Insideno9 was. Amazing way to end the show.
