I interviewed my daughter every first day of school since kindergarten. The last one is now done, since she is a senior. 🥹. Here's how it turned out.

The global climate summary for June is out and June 2024 was the warmest June on record for the globe in NOAA's 175-year record. It was also the 13th month in a row of record-hot temperatures, tying the previous record. More: climate.gov/news-features/…

🧠We can attribute #ClimateChange to our heatwave using @ClimateCentral's Climate Shift Index. Wednesday afternoon heat is 3-5 times more likely. ❗Look at Wednesday morning... Widespread level 5 means lows in the 70s-80s are an exceptional event driven by climate change. #CAwx

A serious, long-duration heat event is upon us, Northern California. ‼️ 🌡️ Widespread major to extreme heat risk from tomorrow for very hot afternoons & also exceptionally warm nights. 🌙 Forecast valley lows are in the low to mid-70s, but foothill lows will be near 80°! #CAwx

Today is #ShowYourStripes Day! A day to share a visual representation of how fast our climate is warming. We had a few random warmer than average years in Milwaukee in the early 1900s but the global scale really shows the warming over the last 50 years.

Today is National #ShowYourStripes Day, which is a day where the visual representation of climate change is always brought to the forefront. For instance, here is Austin's temperature change "stripes" and it clearly shows a temperature increase since the year 2000. #ATXWx #TXWx

10 years ago, a news job I wanted likely had 100 other applicants & would be extremely hard to get. Today, newsrooms can’t fill positions. I hope newsroom managers & media-owning executives read the results of this huge study on journalism burnout. rjionline.org/news/addressin…
