Just saw #LaalSinghChaddha this morning and here are my thoughts on it first with some background on why I have been a fan of Aamir Khan. His first big break was the movie QSQT when I was a teenager in India. Bollywood movies had become stale, loud, violent and uninteresting.
Contrary to what sanghi propaganda says, Bollywood films hav always been extremely strong on patriotism, & the Khans (as early as Mother India's Mehboob Khan) hav been central to this patriotism. Gowariker's SWADES is one such amazing film, & this is prob its most powerful scene
People saying boycott campaigns have not effected hindi films is wrong. Personally experienced the despise on ground when I went to jaipur this February. The receptionist of the hotel I stayed at said bollywood makes *islamic films* while South indian films respect hindu gods.
