The Terracotta Warriors Museum is located in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. It is a large collection of life-size sculptures in battle formations to protect Emperor Qin Shi Huang (259 - 210BC). In 1987, the museum was listed in the world heritage list by #UNESCO. Video by Len Kaufman

Hanging Monastery stands at the foot of Mt. Hengshan in Shanxi Province. Since it hangs on west cliff of Jinxia Gorge more than 50 meters above ground, it is called Hanging Monastery. Built in 491 of the Nothern Wei Dynasty (386 - 534), it has survived more than 1500 years.

Gu Guanyin Buddhist Temple is located in Zhongnan Mountains, Shaanxi Province of China. The temple was built in 628 of Tang Dynasty (618 - 907). There is a famous Chinese gingko planted by Emperor Li Shimon(598 - 649) in the temple. The gingko attracts many tourists every fall.

The Forbidden City in Beijing, China, once served as the palace for 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368 - 1911). Surrounded by a 52-meter-wide moat and a 10-meter-high wall are more than 8,700 rooms. Listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1987.

Yaqing Monastery is located in Baiyu of Garza Prefecture, Sichuan Province. The monastery was built in 1985 and functioned as a Buddhist school. It is the nun monastery with the largest number of nuns in China, and it is also a big temple with great influence in Tibetan areas.

Qixia Temple is located in Nanjing of Jiangsu Province, China. It was built during the Southern Dynasties (420 - 589). It was originally the house of a famous monk and later donated as a temple named Qixia Jingshe, the place for monks or taoists to live and practice austerities.

The Dafo Temple in Zhangye, #Gansu province is famous for a clay sculpture of a sleeping Sakyamuni. The temple was built in 1098 during the Xixia Kingdom (1038 - 1227) and houses the largest indoor “lying Buddha” statue, 34.5 meters long, 8 meters wide, and 20.2 meters high.
