For star authors like Pico I would expect that the venue size match and the festival be transparent in advance about its policies around staying in your seats. Or shift us to a larger venue like the Tata theatre which was totally empty. You can do better @litlivefest

Stood in line for 1.5 hours for Pico Iyer this morning, was right at front and then over 200 people were turned away because the festival allowed the folks from the previous session to stay in their seats - really terrible management and crowd expectations @litlivefest

And it would have been nice had a standing ovation been given in the stadium for all those real unsung heroes of this #WorldCup — the countless immigrant workers from South Asia & Asia who worked in torturous climatic conditions to build the infrastructure that enabled the Games

To understand the late Queen, one has to turn to Japanese: gamman, bushido and sekinim. A friendliness to all that should never be construed as friendliness. A commitment to role, regardless of the pressure of the moment. A deep sense of privacy.

Very much enjoying Saumya Roy's long-awaited novel. Carried me back to Mumbai days, far as I lived from its setting. Slums and waste mountains are plenty written-about, but rarely with this level of humanity and unflinching respect.

Oil Palm plantation had been studied in 1980s & rejected since it’s a recipe for ecological disaster — as seen in SE Asia, and now to be unleashed in Northeast & Andaman. Some years ago the-then CM of Gujarat proclaimed jatropha plantation as a game-changer!What happened to that?

Today's Cabinet decision on National Mission on Edible Oils – Oil Palm will be a game-changer when it comes to helping oil palm farmers and creating an Aatmanirbhar Bharat. The Northeast, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands will specially benefit from this. pib.gov.in/PressReleasePa…

The new IPCC 6th Assessment Report (AR6) provides an unprecedented degree of clarity about the future of our planet, and the need to reduce – and ultimately eliminate – our emissions of greenhouse gases. In this thread I take a look at some key findings from the report: 1/27

No whining. No finger-pointing or blame-games. No chest-thumping either. They just get down to helping others. Quietly, efficiently, selflessly. I learn from them every day. This is the only way to defeat not just Covid, but every other problem our country might face...

Today, Oxygen is the key to reducing mortality. The problem is not of oxygen production but its transportation from producing plants to hospitals & homes. We’re attempting to bridge this gap with “Oxygen on Wheels” a project implemented via Mahindra Logistics (1/5)
