Cab Calloway died OTD in 1994. A legendary jazz singer and band leader, Cab was known as the "Hi-de-ho" man for his song, Minnie the Moocher, performed here in The Blues Brothers. John Landis said, Cab did more things first and better than any other band leader of his generation.
