Absolutely. They'll say there's a record Health budget (while failing to account for inflation and population growth). They'll say they've hired 2000 nurses and are overstaffed (while failing to mention they are still 2000 nurses below safe staffing levels). It's not…

Reti will dismiss it as an operational issue, Lester Levy will lie saying there is no freeze and probably say there are record numbers of nurses and Drs, Margi Apa will then say how many were hired but would be the 12 month period before Lester was brought in and freeze started

We seem to be bombarded with uninformed, unwelcome comments on Māori history from pig-ignorant americans. Repeated by many racist NZers. Do not dignify them with a response beyond this single, incontrovertible, unassailable fact: THERE. IS. A. TREATY! And it is to be upheld

Hi Health politicians/leaders, Quick question for you: People I trust within healthcare have said Waitemata has around 400 healthcare staff vacancies and has been told they have permission from the top to fill only 5 of them a week. And that Northland a couple of months ago…

you cannot believe them when they say that the treaty principles bill is an "honest dialogue" on what the document means. it's an attempt to tear it up and sell the last they can squeeze out of aotearoa to the highest bidder. it might not pass now, but it's not the end

for new zealand's oligarchy, any māori oversight in government decision making is bad. they're going to try stop you from polluting waterways, digging up the ocean floor for minerals, or selling mining licenses for $1 a year, and they have mechanisms to potentially stop you

@dbseymour⁩ ⁦@actparty⁩ this is what honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi would deliver. A future where we all thrive. Your Bill is divisive and ugly and you should bow your head in shame.

We need mana enhancing restorative approaches... not the cynical headline grabbing, bigot satiating approach of this bill

Today the Justice Select Committee will hear submissions on the Sentencing Amendment Bill. The Bill aims to restrict the Courts ability to take into account the full context of a person's situation, and thus deliver a Just sentence.
