Telluride: 'September 5' Stuns Attendees, Is Fest's Hottest Sales Title, Could Be a Top Awards Contender hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-n…
September 5’s chronicle of ABC Sports’ coverage of Munich 1972 is a riveting investigation into the ethics & process of live TV news reporting in the pre-digital age. Obvious and not so obvious relevance to the present moment. John Magaro with the role he’s long deserved.
SEPTEMBER 5 is the sleeper film of Telluride. Already getting strong reviews out of Venice. Excellent work here from everyone involved from the writing, direction, editing & outstanding cast. Do not miss this one!!!! My review: nextbestpicture.com/september-5/
I’m not writing about this film out of Telluride. But you better believe I *will* write about this film. It’s the kind of all-hands-on-deck movie that everything works—from the ensemble, to the tight script, to the lighting choices, to the just-right pacing of the camera.
Tim Fehlbaum's SEPTEMBER 5—on 1972’s Munich Olympics massacre from the ABC journalists’ POV—is breathtaking. A gloriously designed period piece, an analog throwback to well-calibrated thrillers of the 70s, an ode to a dying breed of good journalism. #Telluride folk, take note.
The first Venice film I've felt compelled to discuss is Tim Fehlbaum's SEPTEMBER 5. It's a stunner. The '72 Munich story told from the perspective of the ABC Sports team that brought it to the world. A love letter to antiquated tech and, sadly, antiquated journalistic ethics.

NFL fans you’ll love this! Legendary @Eagles Quarterback, Randall Cunningham, getting some Paris Olympics love. He’s cheering on his daughter, Vashti, whom he coaches. The 26 year old high jumper just finished 5th place after this jump. Congrats to her! 👏🏾👏🏾
