OpenAI will roll some insane new features very soon - specifically the desktop app and the latest model updates with improved real-time vision and audio capabilities I can finally talk have longer conversations with my wife’s mom without the excessive pointing and nodding

After seeing #Oppenheimer a lot of people are trying to make their own nuclear bomb. However, 99% of them are doing it wrong. Here is what you need to know in order to do it correctly. A thread👇🧵🧶 1/235

Want to prototype #DeepLearning algorithms really fast with minimal code but don't know where to start? Check out my recent article published on @TDataScience, where you can train #NeuralNetworks in less than 100 lines of code for cancer diagnosis. bit.ly/matlab-deep-ne…

Congrats @DaWeiLin4!!!

Congratulations to our lab member @DaWeiLin4 for receiving the @umichgradschool Rackham International Student Fellowship! Da-Wei is a graduate student who studies cell type transitions and embryonic development using computational approaches in @sriram_lab Way to go Da-Wei👏🏽🎊

Seeking more educators! Animation lab postdoc @Na_y_ak has been working on visualizations of metabolic flux. If you're teaching these concepts, we'd love your your help developing these animations and educational modules (which will be freely shared online).

Congrats to @secampit for publishing his paper on MetOncoFit, a computational model for studying cancer metabolism! Check out his paper in @BioMedCentral Cancer & Metabolism: cancerandmetabolism.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.11…

My first PhD paper on #cancermetabolism @BioMedCentral is out! We used machine learning to identify important metabolic features frequently dysregulated in tumors at the genome-scale. Shoutout to @sriram_lab and @LyssiotisLab for the help and insights. bit.ly/2WdsIle

Just as we suspected, academia is an insular elite club. Academic nepotism is pervasive. If you don't connect with one of the few elite groups in your field (and as early as possible), it will be much more difficult to succeed.

1\Really excited to share our latest paper, out today in @NatureComms! It's joint work with @WeihuaLi11, @TomasoAste, Fabio Caccioli at @uclfincomp @uclcs nature.com/articles/s4146… Let's see what we did #ScienceOfScience

Such a cool concept! I'll definitely play around and build on this approach in my own metabolic models.

As an experiment, we're sharing articles discussed in our journal club! This recent paper integrates scRNA-seq data into a computational cancer model to characterize intratumor metabolic heterogeneity and predict collective responses to drug targeting: bit.ly/33SXwJ5
