Evaluation becomes a discipline when we are clear about e.g. the methodologies *distinctive* to #eval, not borrowed from related disciplines


Medicine is a classic example of a colossal discipline on which our lives depend; 95% of it supported by #evaluation. Not value-free science


It was David Hume's mistake to think that evaluative claims had to be derived deductively. You do NOT have to derive them deductively.


The world had been creating and using evaluative knowledge for more than 2 million years before Hume started getting nervous about it
