Well, it finally happened,it took a retirement announcement but @Thommo10k is lost for words! Congratulations mate, not many can say they finished 4th in their 1st ever race recorded on the Pof10 in 1995. U continue 2 give back to athletics, & I'm sure more achievements 2come! 😘

So as you see athletes from the UK, Switzerland, and a whole bunch of countries who made the Olympic standard or World Athletic ranking...but their country denied them. Remember, this is either to save $ or that their administrators are dumb. A higher standard isn't helping.

How many athletes will be eligible for the Olympics but British Athletics won't select them due to the policy stating invites via world rankings won't be accepted. Meanwhile, other countries take everyone who gets invited by World Athletics.
