No disrespect to agents/publishers but there’s an awful lot of subjective filtering. Doesn’t mean your work isn’t brilliant, just that it doesn’t float their boat for whatever reason. All be best creatives suffer rejection, from the Beatles to JK Rowling. Keep at it and improve.
I don't like mango. Most people do. You can make the best fruit salad in the world, but if it's got mango, I won't want it. I take rejection by thinking all that's happened is I served that person a beautiful fruit salad containing their 'mango'. It's all subjective. 💙
