Very nice article necessitating the importance of having dialogue and discussions needed to reform PhD assessments in 🇳🇱 There is a need to critically assess whether publications & the traditional thesis should (only) be the assessment criteria or we need to diversify.

We just published an article on improving PhD assessment in the Netherlands! We need to recognize all the diverse work PhD candidates do, not just their research. Read more here: hetpnn.nl/actueel/essay-… #PhD #AcademicCareers #DutchAcademia

The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) Kashiwa Public Open Day 2024 was a great success! I also gave my Introduction in Japanese this time, so that’s a nice first 😀 @AIST_JP @AIST_EN

Summer camp and field work at the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum (FPDM) and share cycle event with EMOSy at Awara Onsen! It was a unique experience to see real fossils and life-size skeletons of these massive creatures! Palaeontological experience of a lifetime!

Best of #ios18features till now - what’s buzzing? I feel the revamp of the Photos app & the ability to set a Face ID/passphrase for specific apps quite useful!

It was the end of #iea2024 today, my first IEA, and what a grand event it was at #Jeju island, 🇰🇷 Looking forward to London and Canada in the future now 😀 Great conference, awesome organization and on top of that delicious Korean food! @IEA2024

The penultimate day of #iea2024 and a great poster session where I had many interesting discussions about wearables, energetics and marker-less videos! Also the slips, trips and falls sessions and the keynote on musculoskeletal modeling were the key highlights. @IEA2024

Day 3 of #iea2024 with the #bibimbab lunch experience and the @IEA2024 congress dinner and award session. For me the highlight was the keynote on informal work showing why the global North should care about it and legislations are a must to tackle these grave challenges!
