This is what a regulator is supposed to do; Utilities shouldn't have to be paid to save customers money and run their system more efficiently (keeping w/in Hope/Bluefield). This is also my problem with PBR & PIMs.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has denied permits for a bunch of pumped storage hydropower projects on the Navajo Nation, saying it will no longer approve energy projects on tribal land without tribal approval: insideclimatenews.org/news/17022024/…
Georgia Power is also requesting pre-approval to self-build 1 GW of batteries. Only 378 MWs have been specifically identified by the company, also as ERIS service (not NRIS). When asked about this, the Georgia Power witness didn't know what ERIS/NRIS service are.
