A Priest friend set plonked a sign outside a tent at his church Fête saying 'Psalm Reading £1' A queue formed & visitors were asked to choose from 1-150 and the chosen PSALM was read. Folk left having interpreted PSALM for PALM revealing his GENIOUS and there need for GUIDANCE!

Missions work isn’t all about up-and-up numbers: churches planted, converts made. It's also about struggle, and steps backward, and trusting in God’s mysterious, not always obvious work. globe.christianitytoday.com/when-the-story…

Praying for God’s blessing upon those who are gathered at the #LambethConference for prayer, worship, discussion and walking together. May we grow into deeper understanding of one another, and deeper love for the world Jesus Christ came to save.

Who could fail to have the deepest compassion for Archie and his parents. Such unmeasurable pain. The high Court Judge is however right. 'Any philosophy of life that doesn't have a place for death within it is not a proper philosophy.'

It's not difficult. Let me help. "We think this policy is at best immoral and at worst evil. We are committed to abolishing it on Day 1 of a Labour Government." You're welcome.

‘Jesus is worth following because Jesus shows us who God is’ thank you @CottrellStephen @StPaulsLondon

I’m haunted by the words of Tolstoy’s most unforgettable characters: “I don’t understand, I decidedly do not understand, why men can’t live without war.

Missing all Christmas services for IST time in 32 years due to Covid pneumonia. Sad but friend tells me Christmas is about the coming of the Redeemer, not the return of the Rector! The Ist should not be missed, the 2nd sounds like a film that no one wants to see! #humbled

Having recognised whose house it is, and that the 'host' is at home, a sense of longing and even fainting on my part to be there is not an overreaction. "Lord forgive my 'underreaction' when I enter your home."

Psl 84 v1 How lovely is your dwelling place.....Not only is his dwelling place, all the 'sweater' because of his 'presence', it is the 'safest' because of his 'power'. He is the Lord of Hosts after all!!

PSALM 84 v1 The psalmist loved for the temple not because it was lovely but because his Lord was lovelier! There's only one thing more lovely than the church gathering to meet with God - its our confidence that when we do, he is there, waiting, loving.
