Myself and many other teachers my age were hired in 2013 (at the age of 23-right after Graduation), with Reg 274 in place. #istrikebecause someone clearly needs to educate this government! This is completely inaccurate and insulting. @ETFOeducators @ETFOPeel
Teachers are now hired based on seniority, not merit. The best young teachers can be stuck in supply teaching roles for years, limiting diversity and equity in hiring. The teacher unions are determined to maintain this system. We think that’s wrong. We’re fighting to change it.
