She looks at her bloodied hands. He stares back as his eyes glaze, and tumbles. A gentle fall. She doesn't catch him. He falls. And falls. And falls. It lasts forever. A muffled thud tells her, he's just hit the ground. Now she realises. A wave of relief washes over her. Finally.

The door creeks open. Before her, torn papers, cigarette buds. She scans the dark room and steps inside. Cold, damp. There's a leak somewhere, waters drips, ominous. She cuts herself on a rusty knife and gasps. The door slams shut and water rushes in. It's here. #flasfiction

Writers. Are your main characters older than you, younger, same age? Do write MCs that are over 40? 50? 60? Just curious. I don't see many books with older MCs, and as an 'older' person, I'd like too!

"It looked as though the vault had been built before the idea of breathing caught on." I don't know how @terryandrob always manages to find the right words to make me laugh... but he does! Gosh how I would have loved to meet the man! #quoteoftheday #terrypratchett #funnyquotes

To write a POC as your protagonist, you don’t have to tell a story about race. I think people forget that.

Question for pantsers from a plotter (I'm curious): If someone asked you to summarize the story of one of your finished #books, would you be able to on the spot?🤔 #WritingCommunity #amwritingfiction

Dear creative friends: Setup or incipit in medias res? I tend to prefer the latter but I feel you can gain a lot through a good setup + surprise of inciting incident. What are your thoughts? #WritingCommunity #screenwriters #storytelling #scriptwriting #AuthorsOfTwitter
