Round-robin wasn't working for one of our customers, so we shipped a new load balancing algo 😎 Will probably make it the new default soon.

Peak innovation, if your streaming bill is too high you can use EventHubs to make it predictably too high!

The performance fight between the various premium event stream broker products is happening in the sub-20ms end-to-end latency range these days. If cross-zone traffic or storage operations are cost drivers, use a PaaS offering that predictably includes them in the service charge

Getting back-pressure right in a distributed system is a delicate balance. Too aggressive and the system is underutilized and won't auto-scale, too lax and its vulnerable to accidental DDOS and OOMs, like the one pictured below 👇

This is one of my favorite technical pieces we've done in awhile. Every cloud infrastructure company has solve this problem, but not many companies have written about how they did it!

In our latest blog post, we describe how WarpStream’s multi-region infrastructure presents as a single pane of glass in the web console while still being resilient to regional failures. warpstream.com/blog/multiple-…

Formal benchmark coming soon, but we can get ~141ms p99 produce latency and ~399ms p99 E2E latency with S3 express with a good cost profile. I think we'll be able to get produce latency < 100ms at the p99 with a few more optimizations!

aws.amazon.com/blogs/storage/… Check out our latest blog post to learn about how the @awscloud S3 Express One Zone storage class can reduce WarpStream latency by 4x, while still keeping costs and operations burden under control! We're very excited to have this one featured on the AWS…
